The School of Kunlun Martial Arts originated from the region of the Kunlun Mountains, located in the eastern part of the Pamirs Plateau. The wavy mountain range with its tranquil environment has been praised in the Chinese Taoist culture as “the ancestor of all mountains”. The School of Kunlun Martial Arts later spread along with immigrants to the neighborhood of Henan province and has had a history for over 200 years.
The Kunlun fist fighting technique is the hallmark of Kunlun Martial Arts. It is a vigorous and strong fighting style with fast and fierce movements. Its variety of hand styles, offensive and defensive combinations, and integrated exercise of hands and feet are complemented with flexible and solid footwork.
Kunlun School’s time-honored esoteric Qi Gong, the Dayan Gong, is a kind of exercise which imitates the form of wild geese and incorporates Dao Yin methods to form a set of advanced techniques. This technique can function to register effective medicinal properties, prevent diseases and maintain physical health.
